Support for (S)ATA devices

Add support for (S)ATA devices. I use internal hard drives in an external drive bay to swap drives. It's the cheapest way to go. Zentimo does not have support for ATA devices. Just make sure the main drive cannot be disabled.

NRL, have you tried to enable the "Display all storage devices" option on the General tab?

Hi Crystal,

It might be safe to remove my hard drive but the warning below stops me from doing so. I use it with an Antec Easy SATA Hot Swap Hard Drive Caddy (http://www.antec.com). If it is safe for me to remove the hard drive please let me know. I purchased a 2 year license a few months ago and love the software. I will love it even more if I can remove my BackUp hard drive after I'm done backing up.

Please let me know.

This is the message I get:

The device “WDC WD20EARS-******* ATA Device (B:)” is going to be disabled, because its driver doesn't support the authentic “safe removal” feature.

In the message box:

If this is a SATA, eSATA, USB, Firewire or PCMCIA device “disabling” will fully prepare it to safe removal (hot swap). Any other types of drives, e.g. ATA, cannot be hot swapped because they does not support this ability physically! Please make sure that the device is connected to the computer through one of the listed above interfaces before you continue.

Are you sure you want to disable the device?

Yes NO
